VitalEdge Technologies acquires industrial telematics firm

US-based VitalEdge Technologies, which provides management software for heavy equipment dealerships and rental businesses, has acquired LHP Telematics, a supplier of tracking technology for rental fleets, OEMs, and mixed-fleet operations.

VitalEdge said the deal would connect dealership operations with machine-level data, including location, utilization, meter readings, engine hours, fault codes, and asset-health signals.

“Equipment dealers are being asked to do more with more complex fleets, more distributed operations, and higher customer expectations around uptime and service,” said Vikram Savkar, CEO of VitalEdge Technologies.

The tech firm said LHP Telematics’ capabilities were especially relevant for dealers and rental organizations that manage mixed fleets across multiple OEM brands, locations and customer environments.

Travis Jones, who was CEO of LHP, will join the VitalEdge executive team as executive vice president and general manager of telematics.

All LHP employees will join VitalEdge and the LHP office in Westfield, Indiana will continue as VitalEdge’s hub for telematics.

VitalEdge’s technology includes e-Emphasys ERP, IntelliDealer DMS and VitalityAI solutions. In September 2025, it acquired Integrated Rental, strengthening its position in the equipment rental market.

The company has more than 900 employees at offices in the US, Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, Australia and India.
