World of Concrete will take place January 18-20, 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center

The organisers of the World of Concrete show have confirmed that the event will take place as scheduled on January 18-20, 2022, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada, US.

The show organisers made the announcement in light of the rising numbers of people being infected with the Omicron strain of Covid-19.

In a statement from the show, the organisers said that, “While your success is a top priority, your safety is too. We want to reassure you that the event will take place, and that we will put safety at the heart of the event experience so we are able to reconnect and get back to business, while keeping our community safe.”

The organisers added that the show would follow all local health guidelines, including Nevada’s mandate for masks to be worn in all public places, regardless of vaccination status. The rule applies indoors only, and includes all casinos, meeting spaces and convention centers, and restaurants/bars in Las Vegas and throughout Nevada.

Hand sanitising stations will be located throughout the venue, as well as an enhanced sanitation schedule, and widened aisles to promote social distancing. The show organisers added that they were in close communication with the City of Las Vegas and local health officials for their expertise and guidance, and would provide information on any changes to the health and safety programme.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many construction shows to either postpone or cancel, although a number of in-person shows did take place last year, such as Bauma China, World of Concrete, The Utility Expo, and MINExpo.
