MEC opens eastern US hub

US-based MEC has announced the opening of its US Eastern Hub, in Greer, South Carolina.

The new 56,000 square foot facility marks a major expansion of MEC’s California-based parts and service operations, bringing parts distribution, technical training, and product support services to the East Coast.

“The launch of the MEC Eastern Hub strategically strengthens MEC’s nationwide support capabilities— enabling faster, more efficient service to customers across the eastern United States,” said the company.

To complement its West Coast operations, MEC is making investments to more than double its parts inventory for greater availability and quicker fulfilment.

Parts shipments from the Greer facility began in April 2025, and MEC is continuing to expand staffing and infrastructure there support the growing demand. Once fully staffed, MEC will also extend hours of operation from 07:00 – 21:00 at the facility. The hub is expected to be fully operational by 15 July.

In addition to distribution and support, the Greer facility features a dedicated training centre, a fully equipped space designed for hands-on instruction of MEC’s lineup of scissor lifts, mast lifts and boom lifts.

This enables a more accessible, regionally focused training experience for operators, service technicians, and customer sales teams, said Kyle Waller, MEC’s Vice President of Parts and Service.

“This expansion enables MEC to deliver an even more consistent, exceptional service level across North America. MEC’s customers will realize reduced delivery time, less freight charges on parts and less time away from the business to attend training,” said Waller.
