Compact Multitel for Berni

Italy-based Berni Rent is set to take delivery of a new 4x4 pick up mounted platform from Multitel Pagliero for use around compact urban centres.
The new MXE 160 articulated truck mount on a Ford Ranger will be delivered in January next year.

Founded in 2010 by Remo Berni the company has a staff of 14 people and supports companies in Umbria, Marche and Toscana.
Located in Città di Castello, Perugia, Berni Rent has 200 units in its rental fleet, including 15 truck mounted platforms up to 3.5 tonnes, supported by two offices.
The new unit has a maximum working height of 15.70m, a horizontal outreach of 5.70 m and a platform’s load capacity of 250kg, and 80kg with an 8.90m outreach. The vehicle’s 4×4 drive opens applications to countryside areas with unstable, uneven, muddy and sloping terrain. It Can ford water to a depth of 800mm
Berni said, “The choice fell on this model because here in the Apennine area there are several small villages with small roads and very complicated historical centres. We therefore needed a vehicle capable of moving over often rough terrain and in confined spaces.”
At a length of 5.975mm and a width of 1.910mm narrow streets are no obstacle for the MXE 160. Straight line stabilizers extend just 1.890mm. A 125 kW Euro 6d engine also lends itself to all terrain environments. with Start & Stop, a low pressure EGR system and SCR system, which minimise fuel consumption and NOx and CO2 emissions.
