AFI invests heavily in green Zoomlions

Articulating Zoomlion ZA14J boom lifts are part of the AFI order
UK-based AFI has made a major investment in the Zoomlion Green range, with an order of 100 units, including telescopic boom lifts and scissor lifts to its fleet.
The new electric ZT22JE and ZT26JE telescopic booms are a first for the AFI Rentals fleet. They include intelligent connectivity with a customised Lithium-ion battery and a maintenance-free AC drive system. The battery has an energy management system which prolongs the battery’s service life by at least 10%, says AFI.
Electric Scissor include the new ZS06007ACW-Li and ZS121AC-Li models. Their Lithium-ion batteries have a long service life that increases the running time by 30%, including in cold working conditions to -20’C. And there is an AC Drive system.
David McNicholas, CEO of AFI said,”Following recent previous investments in Zoomlion electric scissor lifts, the positive feedback from customers has been incredible.
We will continue honouring our commitment to replacing our powered access fleet with specialist hybrid or electric equipment to keep up with market demand and comply with increasingly strict emissions regulations. Approximately 70% of our rental fleet is now battery and bi-fuel.”
