Airo debuts 6-person scissor lift at GIS
08 October 2021
Access equipment manufacturer Airo has debuted its new XL20RTE scissor lift model at this year’s GIS exhibition in Piacenza, Italy.
The XL20RTE offers a working height of 20m and has a double deck platform that can extend up to 7.4m, with a maximum load capacity of 700kg.
With automatic levelling and manually adjustable stabilizers, the scissor lift model includes 4-wheel-drive with an axle drive system that helps “ensure excellent grip even on rough terrain”.
According to Airo, the model is powered by two maintenance-free AC electric motors and “its 48V 455Ah traction battery make the XL20RTE the ideal solution for the most demanding job sites”.
It can operate in full electric mode for reduced fuel consumption and low noise pollution, and can be driven while at its full working height.
The XL20RTE scissor lift was showed alongside a number of models, including the company’s A18 PLUS with Option 8°.
The new Option 8° enables the articulating boom, which is available in diesel, full electric and hybrid versions, to work on slopes with a gradient of up to 8 degrees, at a working height of up to 15m.
