ALH Conference program announced
29 June 2021
After a challenging 18 months, the ALH Conference on Sept. 14 is set to provide the perfect opportunity for the industry to meet again, share stories, make new contacts and talk business. Focused on the access equipment, aerial platform and telehandler industries, the day-long meeting will provide essential information on market trends, safety practices, rental management and product developments. Organized by Access, Lift & Handlers and its publisher, KHL Group, the day-long ALH Conference will be the industry’s first in-person gathering since the start of the global pandemic.
“I am beyond thrilled that we are able to host the ALH Conference in-person again after holding the event virtually last year,” said Lindsey Anderson, editor of ALH. “While the pandemic brought with it extreme challenges, it also changed the way we work and do business – and many of those best practices and protocols will be discussed and explored during the day.”
Kicking off the event will be keynote speaker Larry Silber, president, chief executive officer and director of Herc Rentals Inc. Silber’s topic, “Technology, trust and talent – keys to equipment rental growth,” will touch upon current issues the rental industry faces – and how it must rise to meet these.
Additional topics include: North American economic outlook focused on the rental and access industries; Leveraging dynamic rental rates to drive profitability; Best practices for e-learning and lessons learned from the past year; Key legal points for protecting workers during the ever-changing landscape of Covid-19 and flu season; A post-Covid world: From technology to old-school challenges; Advances in electrification: The latest in battery technologies; The electrification of telehandlers and high-reach equipment with a focus on lithium power; E-commerce within the construction industry and its impacts on productivity and costs; Key insights into equipment inspection and why it’s of utmost importance.
Immediately, following the event, a drinks reception will be held for attendees to unwind and catch-up. Also, the evening prior, IPAF will host a networking reception with details to be announced soon. Check www.accesslifthandlers.com and www.alh-ca.com for information as it becomes available.
ALH would like to thank Networking reception sponsor Genie, Silver sponsors Bravi Platforms and ZTR and Supporting sponsors Skyjack and Hydro Mobile. ALH also thanks event partner the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and media partner Rental magazine.
