CTE tops spider range
22 June 2021
CTE is expanding its Traccess spider lift range upwards with the launch of a 27m working height model.
The Traccess 270 tops out the current series, now formed of four models, ranging from 13m to 27m working height. CTE began introducing the new updated Traccess range in 2019 as part of a new strategy to meet global requirements in the sector.
Complementing its working height, the Traccess 270 has an outreach of 14m and a backet capacity of 250kg. The compact machine is 6.47m long, 1.47m wide and 2.05m high, with a total weight of 4,350kg.
Offering three power sources, the Traccess 270 comes with diesel engine, AGM deep cycle battery pack, which provides about an hour of work and powers a 48 V AC engine. When the batteries are running low, the platform can be connected to the electricity grid, thanks to the 220V or 110V multi-voltage socket.
Among other features are the automatic engine regulation, smart management of the electric pump, automatic closing and opening, ramps and slowdowns, automatic basket centering, secondary guarding and simultaneous, proportional maneuvering.
This is all possibe with the manufacturer’s S3 EVO control system, which is built into the model, as it is across the rest of the series. It provides real-time management of the aerial platform and, for example, can place each individual outrigger in a different position, followed by automatic stabilisation of the platform.
The wireless radio control can be used from the ground and in the basket, allowing all available functions and maneuvers, while the graphic display allows the operator to view and manage which maneuvers are permitted at that time. A further capability is the rise and drive function, which allows the unit to move with the jib raised on sloping terrain.
