A first at this year’s APEX and International Rental Exhibition (IRE) will be a dedicated ‘lecture’ space on the show floor to highlight the latest developments in rental equipment, software and aerial platforms.

More than 20 exhibitors will give free 10-minute presentations on new machines and rental technology. Participants include Bravi Platforms, TVH, Snorkel, Haulotte, Genie, Palazzani, Xtellio, HG, B’Smart Global, Trackunit, Pess Energy and Airsled, with more to be confirmed.

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will also give safety presentations at its outdoor area demo zone, within APEX.

The schedule of topics and presentations will be on the show websites before June – see www.IREshow.com and www.APEXshow.com. Advance registration can also be done at the websites.

The shows, which are co-located with the European Rental Association’s annual convention, are on 2 to 4 June. The ERA Convention is on 3 and 4 June.

An ‘extra dimension’

“The presentations will add an extra dimension to the APEX and IRE exhibitions”, said Steve Webb, Head of Events at KHL Group.

“The participating companies will give short, clear presentations outlining technology that can help rental companies become more productive, efficient and, ultimately, more profitable.

“It’s another reason for rental professionals to attend the event, with three days dedicated 100% to equipment rental. It’s an event like no other.”

More than 200 companies have now signed-up for the two exhibitions, with around 110 APEX exhibitors and close to 90 at IRE.

The two shows, both being held at the MECC exhibition centre in the city, will provide equipment rental companies with a convenient one-stop shop in which to see the latest tools and equipment, including:

  • More than 100 exhibitors of scissor lifts, self-propelled booms and low-height platforms;
  • Portable generators and battery energy storage systems;
  • On-site tools for lighting, cutting, drilling;
  • Compact earthmoving equipment (mini excavators, skid steer loaders, battery powered machines.)

IRE and APEX are located in adjoining indoor halls, with additional outside areas to host the larger aerial platforms.

One key aspect of APEX will be a focus on safe working at height. As well as the latest aerial platforms and safety devices, the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) giving regular safety demonstrations during the three days.
