Geda upgrades transport platform IoT system

Geda is making its transport platforms smarter with the launch of the IoT-Box Premium.

The innovation connects Geda transport platforms to the company’s Machine Management, which then integrates them into its Geda Central system.

Compared to the previous IoT-Box Standard, the Premium version offers a significantly expanded range of features. It combines a diagnostic and access system in a single device, is easy to use, and supports modern usage tracking systems.

Automatic software updates also ensure that the range of functions can be continuously expanded. In addition, real-time data is available in Geda Central, along with a data and configuration interface (API) for integration with construction site management systems. The integrated access system is compatible with all standard RFID/NFC tags and smart cards.

Features include large touchscreen display for which Language and brightness can be adjusted via Geda Central. Remote diagnostics via Geda Central means faults can be quickly detected and analysed, with real-time data error messages displayed directly on the screen. At the same time, all activities are logged in detail in Geda Central.

Service integration 

Its user-friendly management system can be activated and configured as needed via Geda Central, without the need for any additional software installation, while the API interface enables integration of Geda Machine Management into existing customer systems. Information on the current machine status can be retrieved easily and reliably via the AEMP 2.0 interface.

A comprehensive usage report is available at any time via Geda Central, while all elevator notifications are traceable and can be conveniently viewed in Geda Central.

In addition, a notification is automatically sent when the elevator leaves a defined perimeter and Geda Central provides an overview of all previous locations of the machine. The system allows the machine to be locked either on a time-controlled basis or manually on a permanent basis.

Data and documents can also be easily retrieved via Geda Central and shared with external partners. Finally documents, such as reports, can be assigned to individual machines, released, and accessed directly on the construction site via a QR code.
