Paul Quested, the chief financial officer of UK-based rental company HSS Hire is to step down from his role later this year.

Quested, who has been with the company since 2016, will leave in September.

HSS Hire said during his tenure he had worked tirelessly to improve the business and has played a “major part in HSS’ transformational journey and commercial success.”

The company will now begin the recruitment process to find his replacement, with Paul set to support with both in finding his successor and handing over his responsibilities.

Steve Ashmore, chief executive officer, said, “On behalf of the whole HSS team, I extend our heartfelt thanks to Paul for his dedication and invaluable contribution over the past nearly eight years. I will miss his tireless efforts and good humour but he leaves with our very best wishes for him and his family.”

Quested leaves at a time in which the company said it is making “big strides” in implementing its strategy to make its ProService marketplace platform the leading marketplace for building services in the UK.

The platform now accounts for 24% of Group transactions alongside its website, up from 14% last year.

Meanwhile, the company recently announced £349 million in revenues for the 2023 financial year, a 5% increase on 2022.
