JCB North America held its 15th annual golf tournament benefitting the Lady Bamford Center, raising more than $200,000 in a record-setting year, the company announced. The tournament was held at the Club at Savannah Harbor.

“We are grateful for a successful event and for the outstanding support of our community,” said Chris Giorgianni, vice president of government & defense, product and marketing for JCB and chair of the Lady Bamford Center Board of Advisors. “The golf tournament is currently our main fundraiser, and the proceeds will allow us to continue our work with children in our community. COVID-19 caused a strain on our fundraising efforts in 2020, and we were facing a large deficit, but the success of this event will help us regain our financial footing at the Lady Bamford Center. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to our generous community.”

The Lady Bamford Center is a non-profit partnership between Wesley Community Center The United Way, The City of Savannah and JCB North America. By providing critical resources to low-income children and their families throughout the year, the Center offers education and social skills development to children from six weeks to five years of age. Children from homeless and low-income families receive priority admission, as well as children with physical, mental, or emotional challenges.
