JLG expands production in Europe
08 May 2025
JLG Industries has shifted the production of selected diesel and electric boom lifts to its facility in Nogara, northern Italy to better support its European customer base.

The first model to be produced in Italy, an E450AJ articulated boom lift, was successfully shipped to a customer in Spain within the first quarter of 2025.
Integrated as part of JLG’s 2023 acquisition of Hinowa, JLG said the facility offered a range of benefits including optimised logistics, reduced lead times and lower transportation costs. It will also contribute to the shortening of supply chains and, in the long term, to the reduction of the company’s carbon footprint.
Ideally situated to serve JLG’s European customer base, the factory, which will continue to manufacture Hinowa-branded crawler booms, mini dumpers, tracked pallet trucks and undercarriages, has a highly skilled workforce and offers a robust infrastructure, said JLG, with state-of-the-art equipment, vertical parts and storage systems, a dedicated engineering and prototype department and field test areas.
“We’ve shifted production of these models to our existing European operational footprint to better meet the needs of our European customer base,” said Rogerio dos Santos, JLG VP EMEAI & Global Strategy and M&A. “This agility is an example of how we can use our global footprint to deliver added value to customers.”
Zeno Poltronieri, managing director of the Hinowa product line, added, “Since Hinowa was acquired by JLG in 2023, we have been working closely to explore new opportunities and combine capabilities. The production of the first JLG boom lift in Italy demonstrates successful collaboration.”
