JLG launches universal telehandler attachments
30 October 2008
JLG has announced it will launch a universal attachment system for all three telehandler brands it offers; SkyTrak, Lull and JLG. The new system includes a grapple bucket, 8-foot tower and a fork-mounted work platform. Also available will be material buckets, carriages of various size, truss booms and fork options.
"We're the first to make this investment to increase commonality and fleet cross-utilization so customers can maximize their fleet flexibility," says Brian Boeckman, JLG's product parents for telehandlers. "This change will simplify attachment ordering and stocking for customers and provide a full range of productivity, enhancing attachments for all our handler models."
Currently, the company's SkyTrak and Lull E series telehandlers share a common coupling mechanism which the new coupler system is based off of, however, according to JLG, the new attachments will not be able to be used on existing machines in the field.
JLG says its compact telehandlers will not be impacted by the new family of attachments.
