Largest electric boom edges Kranpunkten towards climate neutral

Kranpunkten’s transition to a fully climate-neutral rental fleet continues with the Swedish rental company’s latest delivery of new machines, including fully electric boom and scissor lifts with working heights of up to 44m and 32m respectively.

During the spring and summer, Kranpunkten received deliveries of the BT 44 ERT boom lifts and 3225 DC scissor lifts from Dingli. 

The 44m BT 44 ERT is the highest fully electric straight boom lift on the market, and Kranpunkten is the first equipment rental company in Sweden to include the lift in its range.

“We continue to invest in fully electric lifts in line with our strategy of being completely climate-neutral by 2030. This means we must place high demands on our equipment suppliers to continuously develop more environmentally friendly products.

“Therefore, it is gratifying to see that technological development now allows us to complement our fleet with electric machines that can handle really high heights and complex workplaces,” said Rikard Jönsson, Purchasing Manager at Kranpunkten.

Both models offer the advantages of electric lifts, such as quiet and emission-free operation. This makes them suitable for work in both indoor facilities and environmentally sensitive areas, said Kranpunkten. “In addition to meeting the needs for high-altitude jobs, the lifts have also been designed with a focus on maneuverability to function flexibly and efficiently in confined workplaces.”
