Lou-Tec has acquired specialist lifting and handling equipment company MKS Equipment. No financial details have been disclosed.

Since being founded in 2016, Quebec-based MKS has undergone steady growth in the region, where it will continue to operate under the new name of Lou-Tec Elevation.

According to Lou-Tec, the purchase, which was concluded at the end of May, adds 75 pieces of elevation equipment to its fleet, a strategic service point and will allow it to serve new clients in the Saguenay Lac-Saint-Jean region.

MKS, which will retain its staff structure, will be able to offer customers lifting and handling equipment from the largest and most recent fleet in the industry, according to Lou-Tec.

Jean-Marc Dallaire, president and CEO of Lou-Tec said, “We are very happy to welcome the MKS Equipment team to Lou-Tec. Our 2 companies share the same desire to offer personalized customer service and to continually improve.

“We had already had the opportunity to collaborate on many occasions for several requests from our customers in the sector. This association will be very advantageous to serve our customers even more effectively and help them carry out their projects on construction sites in this booming region.”

The purchase is the third that Lou-Tec has announced over the last year. In November, it purchased Yep Location D’équipements, just months after acquiring Accès Location+
