MBS invests in Italian tracked platform

UK rental firm MBS Access has purchased a 15 m CMC S15 tracked platform from Italian manufacturer CMC Aerial Platforms.

At 780 mm wide, 1950 mm high and with a length of 3.2 m, without basket, the compact CMC S15 offers a 7 m maximum outreach and 200 kg platform capacity. According to the manufacturer, the new 15 m lift is ideal for use in shopping centres, retail and facilities management, as well as building maintenance.

According to MBS’ new hire manager, Ben Dobson, the S15’s compact size is the real bonus. “The 3.2 m length is a significant improvement on rival machines, giving extra flexibility in tight space and for moving the platform up steps and in lifts. This feature alone will make a big difference to user convenience and productivity,” he said.

The new machine replaces MBS’ existing 15 m tracked platform in line with its policy of upgrading its fleet units every five years. The company also runs four Teupen tracked platforms ranging from 18 m to 30 m working heights.

UK distributor The Spiderlift Company brokered the purchase between MBC and CMC Aerial Platforms in Italy.
