Multitel lift for sports legend
24 June 2024
Farioli, a 164-year-old rental company, has partnered with OEM Multitel Pagliero, 113 this year, since purchasing its first truck mount from the OEM 30 years ago.
The pair of Italian companies, based in Novara and Manta, repectively, have ensured the smooth completion of many projects over the years.
The latest was the refurbishment of Novara’s Pala Igor sports centre, at which the Igor Volley Novara women’s volleyball team is based. The team competes in the country’s A1 league and holds the European Challenge Cup.
Farioli also has an esteemed presence in the area, as one of its leading aerial platform rental companies, along with truck cranes and forklifts, operating in Novara, Vercelli, Biella and south-west Milan, as well as throughout northern Italy.
It has 20 Multitel Pagliero truck mounted platforms from 17m to 60m working height, and one of them, the MJ525, was hired with an operator by project manager Ferri for the job.
Work was carried out to update the laminated beams in the sports hall. After assessing the structure of the building and considering Ferri’s requirements, Stefano Farioli recommended the use of the telescopic boom on a 32-tonne truck with a maximum height of 52.60m. The horizontal outreach of 37 m allowed the technicians to reach the most difficult spots, as did the basket’s rotation of 180 + 180 degrees and the extendable jib of 21m, which also makes it possible to work below ground to -15.50m.
The basket, which has a load capacity of 600kg at 30m outreach, has an additional plus: certification to get off the basket at height.
