The Nordic region's road systems and far-flung population centres have fostered wide use of trailer-mounted platforms, and 30% of rental company Pekkaniska Group's current access purchases are trailer-mounts. This type of “equipment has to be easy to transport, light for cars to pull. The main thing is to make it easy to get to the work,” says Torbin Lorentsen, one of two owners of manufacturer Omme Lift in Denmark.

Newest in the market of this type of equipment is Dinolift's 12 m working height 120T model (pictured). Launched at Bauma, it features low weight (1500 kg), one-man operation, a round basket, and 120 kg of payload. The model is now in pilot production, and despite the company's 3500 m2 factory expansion, production through the first half of 2008 is sold out.
