Sofranel invests in Genie Trax boom

Rental firm Sofranel has expanded its fleet with the addition of a new articulated boom.
Sofranel has added the Genie Z 62/40 trax boom to meet customer needs and improve operations at “particularly challenging” sites.
The Genie Z 62/40 is typically popular in in Scandinavian countries due to their harsh and snowy environment
The boom, with its patented TraX system, features four independent triangular rubber tracks at each corner of the machine.
It has a maximum working height of 67 ft 11 in (20.87 m), a max horizontal outreach of 40 ft 9 in (12.42 m), a max up-and-over clearance of 25 ft 7 in (7.8 m) and a max lift capacity of 500 lb (227 kg).
Genie Z 62/40 articulate boom features
In addition, it contains a full-time active oscillating axle system to maintain traction on rough terrain, as well as True 4WD and 45% gradeability.
The Genie Z 62/40 also has fully proportional controls and an articulating boom with dual parallelogram system to keep parallel to walls during elevation, reducing the need to reposition the machine.
Furthermore, there is an articulating 5 ft (1.52 m) jib with 135 degree vertical rotation for ultra-precise positioning of workers and materials.
