Swedish acquisition for Renta Group
06 October 2025

Renta Group has bought Tornby Byggmaskiner (TBM), a Swedish general rentals business with three depots in the Östergötland region, south west of Stockholm.
Founded only 10 years ago, Tornby has three depots in Linköping, Motala and Mjölby and has 20 staff. Its revenues in 2024 were around SEK80 million (€7.3 million).
Renta said the acquisition would strengthen its position in Linköping and expand its network to Motala and Mjölby
Joacim Johansson, managing director of Renta Sweden, said; “We are very pleased to welcome TBM into Renta. This acquisition is an excellent fit geographically that further strengthens our position in the Östergötland region and marks another step towards our ambition to build a nationwide rental network in Sweden.
“With TBM’s strong local reputation and capabilities, we see great opportunities ahead. We look forward to working together with the talented team at TBM. “
Elias Andreasson, owner of TBM, added; “We are excited to become part of Renta. By joining forces, we will be able to expand our offering and take on larger projects, while continuing to serve our customers with the same high-quality service as before.
“Our customers will further benefit from Renta’s digital solutions and broader product portfolio. I am confident that Renta will provide a good home to our employees, and that together we will be able to strengthen our position in the region. ”
Renta, which was also founded in 2015, operates 191 depots in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland and the Baltics. It has more than 2,300 employees.
