Telehandlers build new Toronto neighbourhood
13 December 2022
Construction company AllStar Carpentry/Panelized Building Solutions is using two telehandlers from Magni TH for a major residential construction project in Canada.
Located north of Toronto in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, Mobilio is a mixed-use condominium and townhouse development that will see the construction of a around 22 apartment buildings.
AllStar Carpentry, the project’s main contractor appointed by developer Menkes Development, selected the Magni RTH 6.35 and RTH 6.39 telehandlers specifically for the high level of reach they provide.
As their names suggest, the RTH 6.35 and the RTH 6.39 can reach maximum heights of 34.9m and 38.9m respectively, with an outreach of 27m.
The models, which are both fitted with a Stage V engine from Volvo and have a maximum lifting capacity of 6 tonnes, are being used to install prefabricated panels on the Mobilio jobsite.
To carry out the works the machines were equipped with forks and Magni’s 2-tonne jib with winch attachment.
Fernando Correia, Lead Foreman at AllStar Carpentry, said, “We chose Magni over other brands because of the performance of their machines and specifically the high reach.
“Moreover, it is essential for us to be able to rely on a partner like Stanmore Equipment when it comes to services such as technical support and spare parts. The dealer has been a key equipment supplier partner for us for more than 30 years.”
AllStar procured the rotating telehandlers through local Mangi dealer Stanmore Equipment, of which it is a long-time customer.
