UK renter opens ‘super hub’

UK rental company Ardent Hire has opened a super hub depot at Chawston, near Bedford (Bedfordshire); Ardent said the facility is designed to enable the company’s growth and new product categories.

It is located on the A1 motorway with access to both London and the north of England and comprises six acres (24,200 square metres) of concreted space, as well as office and workshop facilities, with a new training centre planned for construction this year.
Gareth Clements, Ardent Hire’s Operations Director, said the depot would enable the company’s planned growth and “open up opportunities for new product categories.”
The new product lines are yet to be confirmed.
“We’re very excited to have a facility of this calibre. It will help us to push our service to a new level,” Clements said.
The Chawston depot replaces the old St Neots (Cambridgeshire) and Enfield (North London) sites, which will be closed before the end of the year.
