Easi-Uplifts the Ireland based European rental company company has ordered two 90m working height truck mounted platforms from Finnish manufacturer Bronto Skylift.

The S90HLAs will be the flagship machines of a new truck-mounted division of Easi -Uplift headed up by business development manager Gerrard Jennings.

Easi-Uplifts invested in a 70m machine in 2009 and sees opportunities for the big truck mounts primarily in the wind farm industries and in the media for high level filming. The company also expects to generate business for the machines through cross-rental.

Mr Gerrard said that the company has had good utilisation with the 70m and the investment in new machines plus a truck mounted focus is in response to customer demand.

John Ball Easi-Uplifts' managing director said that they had worked closely with Bronto to get the exact specifications required - this includes specialised baskets for camera work with all necessary cabling.

Easi Uplifts will also be taking home its 52m and 32m Falcon tracked platform bought from TCA Lift. The 52m machine will be the first of its type available for rental.

Brian Falck-Schmit sales director at TCA Lift said that Easi-Uplifts had a long term cooperative relationship with Falcon and provided useful feedback from the market.

"Easi-Uplift was the first company to order the 52m machine although they allowed us to deliver the first three machines produced to end user companies."

On the investments John Ball said, "There is greater demand for specialised equipment despite the [European financial] situation you must have the confidence to invest. The need to work at height will always be there."
