MLE's TL 60 has been designed to meet the needs of The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.

US manufacturer of specialist lifts MLE (Man Lift Engineering) has developed a the TL60, a vertical mast type machine for The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.

The machine is designed to help handle the works of art in the gallery: It has a 60ft platform height and the deck extends so that two platforms can be spread apart by 17ft allowing paintings to be more easily manipulated when hanging, inspecting or removing from the walls. The upper platform can also be rotated 360 deg.

The machine has 4-wheel-steering for precise positioning and is all electric so there are no risks of hydraulic leaks inside the gallery.

When in stowed position the TL60 will fit into a small service elevator allowing it to be easily moved between floors.
