Truck mount specialist CTE has revealed its new ZETA model to the public for the first time, previewing the new machine at the 2023 GIS Exhibition, which recently took place in Italy.

Designed specifically for the access equipment rental market, the ZETA 24 J is a compact unit that features an articulating boom with a 24-metre working height, 10.5m of outreach and a basket capacity of 250kg.

While the model previewed at GIS 2023 was mounted on a 3.5-tonne Iveco base, CTE said it would also be available on an Isuzu base in the near future.

The “CTE ZETA 24 J is a platform that operates entirely with narrow jacking stabilizers configuration, with a double articulation and double telescopic boom with jib to exploit the entire work area and offer the operator great versatility as well as excellent working height and outreach,” said the manufacturer.

“Thanks to the double articulation which guarantees almost complete verticality, it is possible to work flush with the wall. The ideal solution for all applications that require this type of operation.”

According to CTE, the telescopic arm enables the machine to work at negative heights and allows the basket to be lowered to the ground close to the machine “for easier access to the platform”. The addition of a 2m jib also gives the unit up and over capability that operators can use to acces difficult to reach areas.

Like its sister model, the CTE ZETA 22 - which was presented at Bauma in 2022, the ZETA 24 is equipped with the S3 EVO machine management system, through which the operator can control the platform’s performance in real time. Operators can also utilise its automatic stabilisation function and is Home function, which allows the machine to be automatically and safely closed down.

The S3 EVO technology further means that users can connect the model to the CTE Connect system. This allows the unit’s location and settings to be remotely monitored for easy fleet management.

CTE said the  “CTE ZETA 24 J represents the ideal solution for rental, thanks to its compactness and versatility, which are well suited to different types of applications”.
