MCS adds AI feature to analyse customer data

17 March 2026

MCS Rental Software has launched MCS AI customer summary, a feature that analyses up to 24 months of customer data and converts it into a clear summary. It will highlight clear trends and identifies changes in activity, making it easier for rental companies to make decisions.

The system will give overviews of metrics including rental performance, recent interactions, outstanding invoices, and service levels. The user can add instructions at the start, modifying the customer summaries in different ways.

Chris Clarke, chief technology officer at MCS, said; “This innovation is about turning data into informed decisions. The customer summary gives rental businesses a clearer, faster understanding of their customer relationships, helping them respond proactively, improve service, and build stronger customer loyalty.”

MCS said the new feature, which is integrated across the MCS software offerings, will give an AI-generated customer summary that reduces the need to manually review large volumes of customer data.

Summaries can be tailored to highlight specific areas such as revenue, usage, or activity, and summaries will “reduce the risk of errors and enable easy comparison of the customer performance across the business”, said MCS.

Nick Thomson, the software company’s chief sales officer, added; “Our goal has always been to give customers clarity and confidence in their data.”
